Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu, an American voice actor, producer and singer, is also an outstanding actress. In addition to being a beautiful and intelligent actor, Lucy Liu acts as a role-model for many Asian actors working in Hollywood that want to be successful. An early string of success appearances in popular television series resulted in her being popular for her role in the show in Ally McBeal, where she played Ling Woo. In the wake of her fame, she got major roles for her in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). She then delivered a superlative performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren In the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill Volume 1. In the same period she appeared in box-office flops like Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated movies such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and others she voiced prominent characters. The small screen role of Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia didn't yield any positive results. The role she played in the critically-acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain her status as an actress of note. Liu has a lot of care when selecting her roles, so she's not a typecast. She has acknowledged her Chinese heritage, but she doesn't allow it to restrict her creativity.
